Meet the executive director
Ahmad
Nassar
The PTPA named Ahmad Nassar Executive Director in August of 2022. In his role, Nassar oversees the development of player services and advocacy programs, such as the PTPA’s Player Services Platform. Additionally, Nassar serves as CEO of Winners Alliance, the for-profit affiliate of the PTPA dedicated to generating and maximizing off-court commercial opportunities for players and their agents.
Having a players association that unconditionally cares for every tennis player is incredibly important, and I am privileged to have the opportunity to take this organization to the next level.
Prior to joining the PTPA, Nassar served three years as Founding CEO of OneTeam Partners, a group licensing, marketing, and media powerhouse representing the commercial interests of women’s and men’s athletes across multiple sports. Before founding OneTeam, Nassar led NFL Players Inc. as President and helped grow the NFL Players Association’s marketing and licensing business into one of the largest for-profit licensors in sports, doubling annual revenue and payouts to players during his tenure.

Novak Djokovic is widely regarded as one of the greatest men’s players of all-time. The Serbian has been ranked No. 1. for a record total of 373 weeks, and has finished as the year-end No. 1 a record seven times. Since turning professional in 2003, Djokovic has captured 21 Grand Slam men’s singles titles, 91 total ATP singles titles, and is the only man in tennis history to be the reigning champion of all four Grand Slams at once.
Representing Serbia, Djokovic led the national team to their first Davis Cup in 2010 and to the inaugural ATP Cup title in 2020. He won the bronze medal for Serbia at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Djokovic is also an active philanthropist. In addition to co-founding the PTPA, the Serbian is the founder of the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which is committed to supporting children from disadvantaged communities.
In 2019, Djokovic and Vasek Pospisil were inspired to launch the PTPA after realizing that the global governing body of men’s tennis - originally founded in 1972 to protect the interests of professional tennis players - had grown into an anti-competitive organization that it once vowed to protect the players from. Djokovic and Pospisil realized tennis’ need for an association committed to advocating for all players, at all levels, free from conflicts of interest, so players could focus on what they do best: train, compete and win — without worry. In 2021, the PTPA was formally founded as a not-for-profit corporation committed to safeguarding and supporting men’s and women’s professional players worldwide.
