PTPA Hosts Second Annual The Players’ Lawn Party at Wimbledon

Before the on-court action kicked off at The Championships, Wimbledon, the PTPA hosted players, coaches, agents, and others colleagues from throughout the tennis community at its second annual The Players’ Lawn Party at Wimbledon. Attendees had the opportunity to unwind and mingle in a casual setting while connecting with PTPA leadership and learning more about the PTPA’s work and discussions around the future of tennis.

More than 150 guests joined the event, building off of the PTPA’s first annual edition in 2023. As the PTPA works to protect and advocate for players’ best interests in the ever-shifting professional tennis landscape, the value of player insights can’t be overlooked. Events like The Players’ Lawn Party serve to bring players and their teams together and create a safe space for open conversation, questions and idea sharing.

PTPA Executive Director Ahmad Nassar, Deputy Executive Director Romain Rosenberg, and Director of Player Relations Anastasia Skavronskaia presented updates on the PTPA’s latest work and its priorities for the rest of 2024 and beyond. Attendees also learned more about the new services and benefits the PTPA has rolled out this season, including PTPA MedNet, the PTPA Mental Fitness Program, and partnerships with Hilton and Priority Pass. The presentation was closed out by Eric Winston, President of Winners Alliance, the PTPA’s commercial affiliate, discussing the commercial opportunities Winners Alliance is generating for players as a collective.

Hilton, the Official Hotel & Lodging partner of the PTPA, joined the event to provide refreshments to attendees. Mixologists from the new Revery Bar Park Lane, located in the London Hilton on Park Lane, served up specialty cocktails to guests throughout the evening.

While tennis is typically an individual sport, events like this provide players and their teams a valuable opportunity to connect, use their collective voice, and have their opinions heard. Player unity is central to the PTPA’s mission of giving players a true seat at the stakeholders’ table, and the PTPA looks forward to continuing to connect with and service more players into the future.
