Washington D.C., July, 18, 2023 – The Professional Tennis Players Association (“PTPA”), global advocates for professional tennis players, is pleased to announce the addition of Anastasia Skavronskaia to its team.
As Director of Player Relations, Skavronskaia will lead the PTPA’s efforts in further building and nurturing relationships across tours. She will be a primary liaison between the PTPA and current players, former players, agents, managers, families, tour and event operators, and other key stakeholders. In addition, Skavronskaia will create and implement initiatives and resources that contribute to the PTPA’s mission of protecting and advocating for players’ physical and mental well-being, career development, and success on and off the court.
“I’ve spent my entire career in the tennis industry, and along the way have learned that my true passion lies in supporting and empowering the players,” Skavronskaia said. “While my past roles have allowed me to support a handful of athletes on their journeys, joining the PTPA will allow me to continue advocating for professional tennis players at scale, ensuring they have the resources and representation needed to thrive on and off the court.”
Ahmad Nassar, Executive Director of the PTPA, added: “Anastasia’s robust experience in the industry and deep connectivity with the players will enable the PTPA to continue fostering relationships with, supporting, and advocating for professional tennis players at scale. Skavronskaia brings more than a decade of experience in the tennis industry to the PTPA. She most recently served as Director of Athlete Representation/Tournament Operations at APG, where she served as an agent to numerous top women’s players. In 2019, she held the position of Director of Operations for the Zhengzhou Open and Thailand Open; WTA 500 and 250-level tournaments, respectively. Skavronskaia also amassed nearly eight years of experience at Octagon, where she specialized in tennis client services and oversaw marketing for esteemed tennis figures such as Martina Hingis and Daniela Hantuchova. She is an alumnus of George Washington University and its women’s tennis team.
